The living world of animals is vast, diverse, and deeply interconnected. It exists in forests and oceans, in skies and landscapes, in urban spaces and quiet corners of everyday life. It includes creatures both familiar and unknown, wild and domestic, visible and hidden. It is a world full of movement, instinct, rhythm, and coexistence.
Through this exhibition, we invite you to interpret the world of animals in your own unique way. What do you notice about them? What do they represent to you? How do they exist within your environment, your memories, or your imagination?
Your work may reflect wildlife, habitats, and ecosystems, or it may explore symbolic, emotional, or conceptual relationships between humans and animals. It may capture the physical presence of animals or express their essence through abstraction, storytelling, or form.
Whether your work is realistic or abstract, observational or expressive, every approach is welcome. You may focus on natural environments, animal behavior, companionship, coexistence, or the quiet and powerful role animals play in our lives and the world we share.
From painting to photography, digital art to mixed media, collage to sculpture, all mediums are encouraged to bring your vision of “The Living World of Animals” to life.

About the Project
The Virtual Exhibition is an online showcase created to present and support emerging and independent artists in a professional digital setting. “The Living World of Animals” invites artists to explore the presence, beauty, and diversity of animals that exist all around us, both seen and felt.
This theme is intentionally open and flexible, allowing you to interpret the world of animals in any way that resonates with your artistic practice. It can be as expansive as wildlife, ecosystems, and natural habitats, or as intimate as everyday encounters with animals, companionship, and shared spaces. Your interpretation may be rooted in observation, or shaped by emotion, memory, symbolism, and imagination.
For some artists, this theme may reflect the visible world of animals, birds in flight, creatures in forests and oceans, domestic animals, or the rhythms of life in nature. For others, it may explore deeper meanings, animals as symbols, emotional connections, cultural narratives, or imagined forms that go beyond reality. And for many, the living world of animals may exist somewhere in between, where the real and the imagined meet.
Whether your work is grounded in realism or leans toward abstraction, whether it captures movement or stillness, detail or atmosphere, your interpretation is welcome. You may explore:
Wildlife, habitats, and natural environments
Domestic animals and human-animal relationships
Movement, behavior, and the essence of living creatures
Symbolic, cultural, or emotional representations of animals
Abstract or conceptual interpretations of the animal world

The application fee for submitting your work to our virtual exhibition is 15USD. If you would like to increase your exposure, we offer an optional add-on for a personalized interview feature on our website.

This open call is open to artists worldwide who meet the following criteria:
Artists must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission.
Open to all genders, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds.
Both emerging and established artists are welcome to apply.
Artists working in any visual art medium or style may submit, including painting, drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture, mixed media, textile art, and experimental practices.
There are no restrictions on artistic approach or experience level; however, all submitted work must be original and created by the applying artist. Collaborative works are acceptable only if all contributors are credited and consent to the submission.
